Farewell Brunch

I couldn't leave the United States without a proper send off from my family, so we spent my last weekend in DC brunching harder than we've ever brunched before. I went to Twist at the Carlyle with my parents and sister for an early afternoon of mimosas and omelets. It's worth noting that we got there when it opened and left when they closed, and they probably lost money on the bottomless mimosa thing with us! I had a lovely time and yummy meal and would definitely suggest it to any of my friends in the DC area.

As usual I opted for an all black ensemble. I've been really into statement jewelry this year, so of course I whipped out some Stella and Dot neck candy for the occasion. I'm obsessed with my purple patent pumps, and really loved this outfit overall. I think I've worn it at least 3 or 4 times since!

Jazz Hands

Pinterest is such an awesome place for manicure ideas. I stumbled across a pinner who painted one nail with a glittery topcoat, and I decided I had to try it. Outside of my standard red glittery shade for Christmas, I don't typically incorporate glitter into my manis, but I have to admit I loved the end result. I used Ate Berries in the Canary by OPI and Happy Birthday by Deborah Lippmann for my first glitter mani.

With so many fun new manis out there, I'm finding myself experimenting more and more. Perhaps a matte mani next week?
